IMPACT
We measure
what we do.
Reentry United tracks outcomes across every inside event and every annual conference — because impact without evidence is just activity.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
Three things that come up, every time.
From handwritten exit surveys, every event, full dataset
1
Access to the parole board
Direct, face-to-face conversation with parole board members is the single most cited benefit across inside events. For many residents, it's the first time they've had direct access to the people making decisions about their future.
2
Hearing from people who've been there
Formerly incarcerated speakers — people who sat in the same seats and rebuilt their lives — consistently register as the most powerful part of the program. Peer credibility changes the room in ways credentials cannot.
3
Resources they can actually use
Housing, employment, transportation, education, family reconnection — not in a pamphlet, but from people in the room who can answer questions on the spot.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS
The voices behind the numbers.
“Being able to speak to the parole board member face-to-face — to address my needs on what would help with successful parole.”
RESIDENT [ST. LOUIS CORRECTIONAL]
"Getting a lot of information about the many resources — and knowing the MDOC is invested in mine and all returning citizens' success."
RESIDENT [SRF]
"The program should be offered to the entire prison system. It gave me hope that I may see society and my family one day soon."
RESIDENT [MDOC FACILITY]
"Every inmate should experience this."

WHERE WE’RE HEADED
Building the evidence base this work deserves.
Reentry United is actively building data infrastructure to track outcomes beyond the event — connecting inside program participation to post-release outcomes, recidivism rates, and community reintegration over time.
The goal is to be the organization in this space with the most rigorous, longitudinal evidence base for what convening-based reentry support actually does.
